we have a sebo automatic x1 from new in 1999. the on/off switch on the handle refuses to function on occasions ( is the switch the prolem or is it something to do with the removable handle) ?

If the machine stops when in use and will not start for several minutes it may be overheating due to blocked filters. If it cuts on and off as the cable or switch is moved it is likely to be a fault in that area.
