NeffU1452B2GB/1 Could oven function selector switch fault be cause of following problem?
Fan heater element not getting power via 2 (white) leads following blown main fuse when fan heater failed giving open circuit in the heater coil. All other heaters functions, switch lights etc, still all function OK. A good replacement fan heater does not heat up (because of power source problem). Thus power to this element only is the problem.

- The solution to my problem was that there were 'only' 2 (white) leads. There is a 3rd lead, and it's spade connector must have got caught on the casing edge, when (2) wires were extracted, so it was forced off the element. It was invisible, so never missed. It was only discovered by removing the back of the oven. Re-connecting it (with the correct wire and stub of the element) restored the power. Others who find no power to a removed fan heater element need to check that all 3 leads are present and correctly connected, before suspecting other problems.

If the contacts inside the switch where damaged when it blew the fuse then it is possible it could result in no power going to the element.
