I have taken off the side panel and exposed the motor and belts, If I take off the main belt and then the small belt and turn the motor the noise seems to come from the shaft into the motor. I am wondering if there is a bearing round the shaft where it is held by the half circle white polythene looking support, could this be the cause. If not any clues please.

It is not possible for us to supply replacement motor bearings.
What other possibilities are there if tumble dryer doesn't start, besides the motor, given that power is on as lights come on? 1 Answer
