Washing Machine Shock Absorber kit
If your washing machine is banging about a little too much then there may be a problem with the shock absorber. A faulty shock absorber can not only cause damage to your washing machine but also to your home, without a working shock absorber the vibrations from the washing machine drum will cause the machine to bang about.
Keep your washing machine under control and prevent future faults and damages.

Please check the suitable model fit list to ensure that this is the correct part for your appliance.
Please Note: There are two shock absorbers fitted to most machines.
Check before ordering if the top of these is fitted on the drum with pegs that are moulded on the drum.
If this is the case you either have to remove and separate the drum to replace the dampers, or drill out the absorbers and fit the 'conversion kit' bolts supplied with the absorber kits Stock Number ES543628

What is the difference between this and the other shock absorber listed for the a Bosch WFO2466GB 01 ?
- Hi, I think the old square-section type shock absorbers must have been discontinued, and replaced with these telescopic ones. I recently replaced the shocks in my own Bosch WFL2462GB/12 washing machine, and these are the parts which were supplied. I have fitted these to my machine and they work fine. These are the parts which are now listed for both machines on most websites.

The physical appearance of the two dampers are very different and we recommend you use the same type as originally fitted. The mounting pivots may be different sizes.
- Hi, the top plastic pin is part of the front tank half moulding, so it can't be removed. I couldn't get my drill in the space, so I carefully cut through the pin on either side of the shock absorber eye with an oscillating saw (you could also use a hacksaw blade). The old shocks & pin fragments could then be easily removed. The new shocks come with M8 steel bolts, locknuts & washers. You will need to enlarge the front mounting hole a little so the bolt will fit through it.
- If it has a plastic pin I think it has to be drilled out using a 13.2mm drill bit and replaced with a nut and bolt .
Will these parts fit WFL2872GB05 without having to make alterations to the way they are attached to the drum? 1 Answer

On your machine the Shock absorbers are fitted on the drum with pins that are moulded on one half of the drum. There are only two ways of removing the damper, by either removing and separating the drum halves. Alternatively Bosch have brought out this kit enabling the old pit to be drilled out and new bolts fitted to locate the shock absorbers.

This is for one shock absorbe. Note this is a kit and your machine may require the drum either dismantling or drilling to replace the suspension leg as it may be fixed between the two halves of the drum.
