Hi I'm Mat from eSpares.

In this video I'll be showing you how to change the heater on this Beko WM XD 760s washing machine. If you notice your machine washes continuously, or if when you've put it on a cycle the house electric trips, there is a very good chance that your heater has developed a fault and needs replacing.

Now first things first: always make sure you on plug the appliance before carrying out any work.

To access the heater I first need to remove the back panel which is held in with these five screws. With the back panel off here we can see the heater, but due to the position of the belt it's a good idea to remove it so you can gain access to the heater. To remove the heater you first need to disconnect the electrical connections, and then unscrew this bolt which holds the heater into position.

Now I haven’t unscrewed the nut completely because I need to use a screwdriver on the end of the bolt and give it a healthy hit which releases the heater from the housing, you can then use a flat bladed screwdriver to just ease the heater away.

Before fitting the new element it's an idea to put some washing up liquid as a lubricant around the seal just to help ease it in. With the new heater in position you can then re-screw the nut and reconnect electrical connectors. With the heater now in position I can reattach the belts and re-screw the back panel. So there we go, one new heater put into this Beko washing machine. Spares and accessories for Beko washing machines and many other appliances can be found on espares.co.uk.

Thanks for watching.
