What You Will Need:
Step 1 - Safety Advice
Safety First! Please ensure that you have disconnected the appliance from the mains before starting any repair and due to the sharp edges exposed we suggest suitable Safety Gloves are worn to help prevent injury.
Step 2 - Remove Top And Side Panels
The first thing that we need to do is remove the top panel of the machine and to do so undo the two top screws at the back. And with a little tug on the front the panel should pull away.
With the top removed, we now need to remove the side panel by undoing the screws at the back and top which are keeping the side in place. With all the screws removed the side panel just lifts up and away.
Step 3 - detaching The Faulty Heater
The next thing we need to do is to unscrew the heater cover sitting at the back, you’ll have screws going all the way around the cover.
Once the heater cover is out of the way we now need to unplug the electrical connector coming from the heater. This connector needs to be unplugged from the inside, hence the reason for opening the side panel.
With the connector unplugged now to unscrew the screw that holds the connector bracket into place and then remove the two screws that hold the heater in position.
Step 4 - Fitting New Heater
Now according to the heater being replaced in this video, the thermostat is a trip-able thermostat so if you're lucky and you press the red button and hear a click the thermostat has reset. It is worth trying your machine again after that.
However, if the red button does not click or the heater is tripping your electrics you are going to need to replace it.
So grab the new heater secure it in place, then reattach the connector and screw the bracket into position and refit the plugs.
Step 5 - Reassembly
Now that we have the new heater in place we can refit the cover back on. Then on goes the side panel and finishing off with the top panel, ensuring all the screws are secured in tightly.
