How to Replace the Oven Door Seal on a Neff Double Oven

In this article, we're going to help you replace the door seals on an electric Neff double oven. As these types of ovens have an upper door and a lower door, they have two separate door seals. Here we're going to show you how to replace each one.

How do I know my oven door seal is faulty?

An oven door seal helps to keep heat inside the oven. If you find your oven isn't heating up as much as it should, it's best to check your door seal. To do this, have a feel around the door while the oven is on. If you feel hot air blowing out, there may be a gap in the seal. You can also physically check the door seal for any visible signs of cracks or damages.

If you have established that the door seal on your Neff oven is faulty, follow the step by step guide or watch the video below to find out how to replace the upper or lower door seal on your appliance.

Safety First!

Before you begin this repair, make sure that your oven is switched off and fully disconnected from the mains.

Find the model number

To ensure you are getting the correct replacement door seal for your oven make and model, you will need to locate the model number. For cookers and ovens, this can be found on a sticker or data plate, usually behind the oven doors or around the frame. If you can't find it here, check the inside, back or sides of the appliance. The model number usually consists of a combination of letters and numbers and could also include characters such as a dash (-) or a slash (/).

On this particular model that we are using, the model number is on the data plate on the bottom of the lower oven.
