Before carrying out any work, make sure your fridge freezer is switched off and completely disconnected from the mains.

You'll need

To carry out this repair, you'll need the following items:

Step 1: Remove the faulty door flap

To remove the freezer flap, unclip it from the hinges and gently prise it away.

Step 2: Remove the hinges

Next, you'll need to remove the hinges. To do this, slot the flat blade screwdriver between the hinge and the freezer liner and use it to slowly prise them apart until the hinge is free. Be gentle during this step as you don't want to damage the freezer liner.

Then repeat the process on the opposite side.

Step 3: Fit the new hinges

Fit your new hinges in the allocated slots on either side. When they are fitted correctly, you should hear them click into place.

Step 4: Fit your new freezer flap

Gently position your new freezer flap into the hinges. Again, take your time and do this gently to make sure you don't damage the hinges or the flap. Make sure the flap closes correctly when this is done.
