How to Replace the Upper Door Seal on a Dishwasher

If your dishwasher is leaking from the front, it is most likely that the door seal is damaged or faulty and will need to be replaced. Most dishwashers have two different door seals. They have a three-sided upper door seal and a lower door seal which runs just along the bottom of the door.

In this article, we're going to show you how to remove the three-sided upper door seal. If you need to replace the lower door seal, take a look at our article here.

Take a look at the video or read the step-by-step guide below to find out how to replace the upper door seal on a Siemens dishwasher.

Step 1: Remove the faulty door seal

First, you're going to need to remove the damaged door seal. To do this, find the end of the door seal on the bottom of the door frame and pull it out. The seal should lift away easily.

Step 2: Fit the new door seal

The new seal will only fit one way around so make sure the groove fits into the door seal. Leave about 2cm at the end and begin feeding it through the door seal slot at the bottom of the door frame.

Step 3: Feed the seal around the frame
