Rangemaster Pro 110 Grill light glowing
I have A Rangemaster Pro 110 (6240) 2006 Stainless steel electric. The grill light is constantly glowing. The Grill works fine. Checks that I have made are: 1. Change the Grill Regulator switch (A025622) 2. Disconnect all the wires from the switch leaving one red wire connected to the switch at the bottom right, this connects the neon light to the switch and the Fan controller (p027589) located at the back of the cooker, the controller blue and brown power wires were also disconnected. THE NEON STILL GLOW WHEN THE OVEN WAS POWER UP. 3. There are 4 wires connecting to the Fan controller, each leaving the top of the 2 oven switches, the grill switch. Any help will be welcome

Neon lights will 'strike' when an electric field is present and require almost no current to work (that's why a neon screwdriver works without electrocuting you).If wires are either close in a loom or the element is switched on the neutral connection the small current induced into the cables can cause a neon to partially glow. To resolve this it may be necessary to re route cables. If the illumination is only very slight (can only see in a darkened room) I personally would not worry about this as it is not 'necessarily' a fault.
