      Do you have to use these lamps or can you use normal 40watt light bulbs? Thanks

        Hi Shep0105 Only specialised light bulbs can be used in cooker hoods for two reasons - the heat that is radiated up from the hobs would destroy regular light bulbs, and they are too large.
