My tumble dryer is not heating up & blowing out cold air . I checked thermostats - both are ok . Heating elements go red on start up but go off after about 5 seconds , i am not sure if this should or should not happen .

    If this is a condenser dryer check that the water is being cleared from the reservoir as many condenser dryers have a float switch to stop the heating to prevent overflowing when full.
