After several years good service, I am finding the the brush stops rotating, usually when pulling it backwards. It is not blocked or seized up as it starts again after a few seconds. I am suspecting a poor electrical contact. Is this likely?

  • Took ours apart and found that from connector pin to motor connector black wire continuity was rock solid but white wire was open cicuit/high resistance as head was rotated. By Vic Paine - Ruthin - 27 March 2020
  • This happened to mine. You need to remove the brush from inside the unit and remove the fluff twisted around the static plastic spindles. By CL - Dorset - 01 February 2018

We believe it is not likely to be an electrical contact, check for something stopping the brush bar at the ends.
