I have a Hotpoint WM74S washing machine. I am replacing the bearings but the drum spindle is threaded and I cannot get it out of the plastic casing. In the video the spindle has no thread and just drops out. Can you help please.

The threaded area is for fixing the drum pulley and is not stopping the drum from being removed. Use a mallet or a soft face hammer to 'shock' the shaft and remove it.
