HI have taken the drum out of the machine, but the inner drum will not budge from the outer plastic casing would I need to heat this with a blow torch ?

Use a penetrating oil like WD40 or Plus gas and support the outer drum on wooden blocks. Then use a soft face hammer or a piece of wood between the hammer and the shaft and hit it hard to shock the shaft from the bearings.
