The barrel of the broken knob won't pull out of the control panel, please could you advise? There is no obvious way to remove the fascia of the control panel (e.g. screws/ lever) - if this is necessary, do you have a video demonstrating this? Many thanks

  • Fascia was removed by undoing four screws. It was necessary to remove the fascia because when the knob collar broke, the panel behind the fascia slid out of alignment. This happens commonly. (Pliers used to remove the knob but that was obvious, the new knob wouldn't just push in because of the sleeve slipping out of alignment behind the fascia.) By Cherry - Sussex - 13 March 2012
