Improved Bosch shock absorbers?

Our Bosch WAQ28460GB/01 has 3 shock absorbers that look exactly like this. Machine has developed a noisy resonance when spinning. The existing shockers have about 4mm of easy, springy movement before they start to "absorb". Is that normal? Your website recommends a steel piston in cylinder type as the correct fitment - are these an improved part?

If you have ruled out any other reasons for the noise like the bearings then it is likely the shock absorber could be causing the noise but make sure you check your model details to get the correct part.
