is it possible just to replace the brushes on this motor?
Motor Fan Kit Type 351
Answer this Question (2 Answers)
- I agree with Chris, I though I needed new brushes as the drum was slow to turn, on inspection found it was an induction motor and decided to try and replace the capacitor first. It took all of 2 minutes to replace and test, dryer is now good as new!

This motor is an induction motor and does not have brushes. A common problem with this type of motor is the failure of the capacitor which results in low motor torque and not turning.
