How do these hinges fit back on

There are no clear instructions to fit these hinges, I have had to oven repair men that have been unable to fit the door on!

Re 'Tim's'Comment: We are sorry that we have not done a video on Smeg hinges but do not have access to an oven to create a video. The video attached may be a little help when carrying out this repair.

  • It is difficult! You need to get the hinges in the locked position before you can fir the door back onto the over. Some of the previous users have sought to answer this question. Leveraging with a large piece of wood seems to be the favourite. The video that eSpares keep sharing is of no use as it is for an entirely different sort of door hinge and it is incredibly unhelpful of them to keep directing people towards this. We think there is a hole in the bracket sides that when opened can take a nail or small pin to lock the hinge open and allow it to be easily unhooked to remove and refit.
