AEG Washing Machine Error Code E10/E11/E12
Washing machines can come under a lot of pressure from daily use, as we always have clothes to wash - whether it's the kids school uniform, the kitchen towels or your favourite dress. Like all home electrical appliances the washing machine can develop faults too, causing disturbance in the flow of its performance.
If your washing machine is displaying either an E10, E11 or E12 error code, it is likely that there is a problem with the water filling the drum. Don’t worry, our diagnosis is sure to help you identify the issue and help reduce the ever growing laundry pile you have stacking up.
Inlet Valve
The washing machine inlet valve is the electrical solenoid valve - and this opens when current is applied to allow the washer to fill up with water from the household water supply.
Now if the valves have either blocked or not been activated, your washer will not fill up with water. With our help, you can prevent your washer from running dry again.
Safety First! Please make sure that you have disconnected the appliance from the mains before beginning any repair.
- If the water supply is turned on and the hose pipe is not kinked the problem may be due to a faulty inlet valve.
- Check the inlet valve with a multimeter to confirm continuity - typically 2000 to 4000 Ohms. (See here for instruction on how to use a multimeter)
If there is no resistance reading or when the machine starts there is a slight hum from the valve, but no water enters the machine, it is likely to be faulty - and will require a replacement valve.
