Although this capacitor has 4 tags there are two to each connection. just connect a wire to one of each pair on the capacitor.

Answer this question

I ordered a replacement 8UF capicator for my Zanussi tumble dryer. I have received the item but there is no polarity markings on it. How do I tell which is Negative or positive?

This capacitor is used to couple AC from the supply across one winding to the other. It is not polarised and can be fitted safely in either direction.

Hi Martins, it sounds like there is a problem with the circuitry in your dryer. I'd recommend asking an electrician to have a look at it for you.
