During the wash cycle my dishwasher is making a high pitched groaning noise, could it be the pump? making a high pinched groaning noise, will it be the pump. 1 Answer

The drain pump will only make a noise when it is draining not washing, that is controlled by the wash pump so start there.

No, just the pump motor complete.
Whilst cleaning I can hear a low level noise comparable to a pump that changes speed through out the cycle. Is this pump multi functional as a circulation and drain pump
