Our tumble dryer works satisfactorily on synthetics but does not appear to get hot enough on cottons could one of the sensors be at fault or is it the thermostat? 1 Answer

It is likely one of the elements in the heater has failed and it is not heating correctly.
The clean filter light on my dryer keeps coming within a couple of minutes of emptying the lint collector. I have checked the vent and pipe and they're clear, with no blockages. Any ideas as to why this keeps happening? I have tested the sensors on the heating element using a multi-meter and only get a reading from the bottom sensor. Could this be to blame?
