Tumble Dryer Door Catch
The door catch on your tumble dryer is required to keep the door shut firmly and securely during the cycle. A broken door latch on your dryer can make it tricky, if not impossible, to open and close the door. With this replacement from eSpares, you'll solve the problem of having to sit and hold the door each time you need to dry your clothes.
Genuine spare part for select models of AEG, Electrolux, John Lewis, Privileg, Marijnen, Rex, Tricity Bendix, Zanker and Zanussi tumble dryers.

This part is compatible with ZDC67550W, the part is clipped in so just need to unclip and replace.
We have a Zanussi TD 4112 W Tumble Dryer and the door catch has broken with the door closed. We have tried tipping it to put a hand up inside but there is a plate on the bottom; have also tried taking the top off but the door catch isn't accessible that way either. Should we try removing the bottom panel? or take the drum out? Would be grateful for any suggestions. Thanks.

Remove the top and right hand side panels. Look for the lock and latch pin, push the pin away from the edge towards the centre of the door while some one repeatedly presses and releases the door to help the catch to be released.
I want to swap the door around and I can't remove existing catch

If you look at the part picture you will see that when the right side is hinged into position the left side has a ridge or barb that locks the part in place. to remove use a small flat blade screwdriver through the slot to bend the barb towards the centre of the catch and allow its release.
