The element I have removed from my Baumatic cooker is identical to this apart from the compatible part is 2500w rather than the 2000w in the original unit . Is this ok to use ?

The power rating is not important as when the oven reaches temperature the thermostat turns the element off. This should be suitable if the element is physically similar enough to allow you to fit it.

Although this may be suitable for your appliance it may require an amount of adaption to fit. We would always advise customers who are not very 'handy' at DIY to use the manufacturers original part when available.

I can send you a photo of the oven if required

There may be a small blister or crack that will indicate that it has failed. However, if the fan and the oven indicator are working it is almost certainly the element that has failed.
