It is unlikely a heater problem, for more information on this problem see our diagnosis video: How to Diagnose Dishwasher leaking and heating problems http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/3/2083
Not sure if the heating element has gone on my Whirlpool G2PDWI. It does not seem to be heating up and stops mid cycle with continuous beep. It lights up rinse symbol and flashes 3 times . Is this a fault code and what does it indicate. 1 Answer

Yes, you are correct this is an error code. The code indicates that the water could not be heated to the required temperature. Here a short video on common Dishwasher Heating problems: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/3/2083

A short that can blow a 13amp fuse is almost certainly going to be the heater. Even if it checks ok when cold I would replace this as it is the logical place to start and may only be able to prove it by substitution.
