These batteries are a NIMH type and do not normally exhibit a 'memory effect' as shown with NICAD type batteries.

Answer this question

I have some solar panel outdoor lights with this battery in which quotes " LI-ION 14500 3.2v 250mAh" It's just a plain grey cover AA size. Do these JCB batteries suit this as a replacement or do I need something else as the solar panel set are not recharging (or working now) I presume it's the battery fault.

The first battery appears to be a NI-MH battery and this product should be suitable to replace it. The second is a NI-CD type and these are no longer stocked by us. There is a difference in the charging and discharge characteristics of the two that may make a difference in some products making these battery's unsuitable for your second battery.
