This part is the electrical cable for the iron only.
due to wear, the conductors of the power cable have caffed through to the copper cores. Will this cable replace? 1 Answer

This cable should be suitable for most irons but not on 'steam generator irons' as these also contain additional cables and a hose to supply the extra steam.
Is this cable suitable for a Breville Steam iron with a rating of 2000 watts.

2000 Watts is just over 8 Amps and this cable is suitable up to 13 amps or 3000 Watts so is suitable.
Not sure what the correct name of the part is. But it is the part that is connected to the power cable which is like a plug that connects (slides) into the female connection of the iron. There was a flash inside the iron as if a fuse had blown. When opening the iron the plastic and mtal prong had melted.
