i have a creda 37381 dryer which does not get hot i ve recently replaced the heating element but no joy could it need a new thermostat kit?? regards gemma
- Too late for Gemma, but might help others: most drier failures are because of thermostat problems, not heater element problems. To check, remove thermostats and test for continuity. If either fails, then you need a new kit. Don't just replace the failed one: buy a kit of two and replace both. (If you don't know how to test for continuity, ask a friend.) Basically, at room temperature thermostats should pass current (i.e. display continuity), and let your drier's electric heater heat up. WARNING: be careful with thermostats: they have a loose curved cap: don't touch and especially don't press in or you could render useless. For the interested: the curved cap is a bimetallic strip which flicks from convex to concave at set temperatures, hence controlling currant flow - fiendishly cunning!

Hi Gemma Without actually seeing your tumble dryer it is impossible to tell what is causing your problem. Our advice would be to talk to your local Creda or tumble dryer specialist and they should be able to tell you what's going on with your dryer. And that's where we come in! With hundreds of Creda tumble dryer parts, we're bound to have the right part for you.
I have a Creda 37543T001Q tumble dryer and one of the two stats has clearly short circuited (evidenced by a blowout and carbon staining next to the left hand side stat). Can you tell me if these stats will retrofit my model? I can't seem to find a replacement.

These are a suitable replacement. Ensure you replace both as they are different and you must have one of each type in your dryer.
I havea Hotpoint Aquarius TL61 dryer the drum spins and everything works fine apart from its producing no heat could you please give me some advice as to what the problem may be ? Thanks David.

Hi David, please have a read through our advice centre to see if there are any answers in there. Alternatively contact an engineer to get a diagnosis on what's going wrong although it does sound like it's a problem with your thermostat. After that our team can direct you to the most appropriate part.
Crusader Model 37317 Drum rotates but no heat. Two thermostats. One white body on live side of circuit appears to have continuity. Other has black body on neutral side of circuit appears to be open circuit. Guess I need the black one? Is that the Ts11? and is it in this kit? Thanks for any assistance.

Hi Fleetfiddler, I'd advise the TS11 - which isn't included in this kit. http://www.espares.co.uk/part/tumble-dryers/crusader/37317/p/1088/961/0/442793/482401/thermostat-(ts11).html
