It is most likely the element if every other function works correctly. This needs to be fitted by a qualified engineer. The element for your model is ES185799.
i have recently changed thermostats on whirlpool dryer awz541 but still overheating could it now be heating element

Hi Raz, you were right to change the thermostats first, they are the most likely cause of an overheating dryer. It could be the element which is damaged - perhaps an electrical fault. If you smell electrical burning, then switch off straight away and don't use - call an engineer or consider a new dryer. When it's an electrical fault like that it is dangerous for an unqualified person to mess around with it.

Hi Andyirl, this element will fit your dryer. I'm afraid we don't stock deliver to addresses outside the UK, however if you have a friend or relative in this country, we'll happily send it to them for you.
