Fan Oven Element - 2500W

The function of the fan oven element is to heat the oven cavity. When the cooker knob is turned on for your electric cooker, electricity will flow to the element which then proceeds to heat up. Once the element reaches the desired temperature, the electricity flow switches on and off to maintain the temperature.

If the internal element filament burns out, this can cause the element to short circuit - and will lead it to fail. Potential signs that the element has blown can be visual things, such as a split, bulge, or blow hole on the element.

eSpares has the replacement fan oven element, that could soon be yours, to help get your fan oven back to the required temperature - so you can continue to make your delicious meals!

There were 2 wires available from the front of the oven (when opened) but no earth wires. So I want to seek advice on whether the back of the rangemaster requires removing to search for earth wires.

If you have a connection on the element in between the electrical connection then it requires an earth lead, if not then it would normally use the cavity which would be earthed.

The yellow and green connector (if used) goes on the bracket. The other two connectors can be fitted either way and will not cause a problem.

Answer this question

I have a Leisure Rangemaster 110 that is approximately 8-10 years old, I think it was purchased in 2000. The Fan oven element burned out a few weeks ago, I went to a local supplier who siold me a new element made by Zanussi and said this would work ok. The Fan oven worked ok for about two weeks and then stopped heating up. I carried out an ohms meter test on the element and this is ok. I found that the Thermal cut-out is open circuit on an ohms meter test. The local supplier said that to replace the thermal cut out, the serial number of the Leisure Rangemaster 110 in cream would be required. I cannot find the original invoice or hand books etc to find the serial number and I cannot find it on the appliance, perhaps you can tell me where to find it. I cannot find a thermal cut-out on your website. I have attempted to attach pictures of the thermal cut-out that is 250 degrees C, but the brouse section will not open in your add images section, if you need them, perhaps they will attach when you e-mail back to me. Best regards, Martin Coleman
