The above element for Bosch washing machine WFL2462GB/12 is 195mm long. The element I have taken out is 235mm long. Is this length of element not available any more and if not is the 195mm recommended by the manufacturers as a replacement or just the nearest you can find ?

The original part is no longer available and this part is supplied by Bosch as a direct replacement for the heater in your machine.
Please would you to tell me how to release the door seal on a WFO2867GB/17 which seems to be slightly different to the model shown in the video 1 Answer

Chris at eSpares says...
The door seal should be held in place on the outside with a spring tensioned band and held to the tub by a band tightened by a bolt.

Hi Kazza I'm afraid that we at eSpares are not technically trained and can't give advice on how to fit parts. We would advise that you get in touch with your local Bosch or dishwasher specialist (or ask a friend or relative!) and they should be able to help you out.
