Washing Machine Door Latch Kit
A broken door latch on your washer can make it tricky, if not impossible, to open and close the door. This door latch keeps your washing machine door shut and locked securely.
The door must remain locked to ensure that the door cannot be opened during the wash cycle, letting water flowing from the tub. With this replacement latch kit from eSpares, you can help get the washer door securely locked again.
Please Note: includes door latch, spring and pin.

I don't know if it is the door latch or it is the part the latch goes into?

It is unlikely to be the door catch unless it is broken, check the on/off switch and connections to the board. See our advice centre article for more help http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/careandmaintenance/how-to-diagnose-washing-machine-control-and-program-problems just copy and paste into your browser.

The key indicates Child Lock has been set. The most common method used on most Bosch washing machines is to press and hold on to the start button till the key symbol disappears.

Hi Tom G, it sounds like you'll definitely need a new latch and/or catch - these are available as separate parts. Additionally you may need a new handle assembly - they usually come with springs and other components included. You may also need door trim parts if you've cracked them - just check for external damage. All these parts are available separately and you certainly won't need to buy a whole new door.
Could do with some fitting istructions or some tips on how to go about fitting it please!!!

Hi Joelw This part shouldn't be too difficult to fit, it should be a 'click-in-to-place' situation. If in doubt, ask a friend or relative! Two heads are better than one!
