The old door has screws which need a T20 screwdriver but those screws don’t seem to go into the new door very easily. Am I supposed to use quite a bit of force or do I need smaller screws?

The screws should be exactly the same for the new door but the screws maybe tight as the new door will not be threaded.

Answer this question

Bosch Classic Express 1000. Still going strong !!. But the circular rubber door seal on the interior of the machine has been torn/ripped where the door indents when closed. The rip leads to leakage when the machine is in use. Is it a big job to get a new rubber seal for the machine? and is it difficult to fit? Where can I get a new seal? and would it need a professional to fit it?

To find the seal use your full model number from the label on the door. To fit see our advice centre article how to fit a washing machine door seal.
