The temperature light on my tricity tiara stays on even when the oven switch is inthe off position. oven does not heat up. 1 Answer
The rings work ok. wondered if it was the thermal cut out fitted at the bottom at the back of the cooker,or maybe the thermostat.

It sounds like the thermal cut out but it could be a faulty element. Check with a meter if available or carefully examine the element for signs of damage. for more information see our video: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/1/2145/how-to-diagnose-problems-with-your-oven

This cut out is normally in the back of the oven near the top. Before ordering confirm the cooling fan is running correctly as this also may cause this fault.
main oven cut-out switch was replaced but now the oven is switching on/off during cooking, when I checked the parts list for Zanossi,it shows the thermal cut-out as170o C. Has the wrong part been fitted???? Appreciate your advice. regards Dave...

It is possible the main oven is overheating causing this to cut out. Check the oven temperature by selecting a low temperature and confirm the indicator cycles on and off as it regulates. IF the indicator stays lit and the oven heats excessively suspect the main thermostat to be short.
