Tumble Dryer Temperature Sensor

Get your tumble dryer working like new again with a little help from eSpares! The sensor probe acts as a safety for the heating element, so, if it over-heats the probe will cut power to the element. If you've noticed your tumble dryer overheating, you may have a faulty sensor. Grab this replacement to restore your dryer back to full working order.

This is a genuine spare part for select AEG, Electrolux and Zanussi tumble dryers.

Please check the list of appliances prior to ordering this spare part to make sure it will fit your appliance.

I switch off the machine and start it again and it goes for a few more seconds and stops. Some days it will go for maybe 30 seconds but then stops.

This can occur if turned off when hot, dryer should be allowed to finish with the cool down cycle or can cut overheat when the fan stops blowing.

Answer this question

I have a problem with "auto" operation of the dryer, i.e. only operates properly on timed settings, and think this might be the problem. I have taken off the top and can see the drum, heater/thermostats (which I've checked as OK with a multimeter), control panel, door catch, etc., but I don't know where this is located. Thanks. If this part were faulty there would be no heat in the drum. The sensor for auto programmes is an insulated band around the drum connected with a brush contact Stock Number ES626122. Check this is making contact correctly.
