Hi, I bought a replacement pump from you for my vhd hoover washer, we have checked and re-checked all the pipes and hoses - no blockages. We have checked the pressure of water coming out, it flows freely and the pump kicks in to get rid of the rest but after a few minutes of the drain pump going and no water left to drain out it still kicks into error code 3 and will not spin - anything else it could be?

  • Hello, I hope this helps... I encountered the exact problem as Jax; my Candy washing machine was indicating error code E03. We have checked all the pipes and house drain and they were fine. We replaced the pump and the pressure switch and still the error code kept appearing and the water won't drain. Finally my husband pulled apart the valves and found a hair pin stuck in between them! The washing machine worked beautifully after that. By Wehrlin - CH - 28 February 2016

    Chris at eSpares says...

Error E3 is indicating that the machine is not recognising that the water has emptied in the allocated time (3 mins?). If the machine does empty it is likely that there is a problem either with the pressure switch or with a blockage or restriction of the pressure tube to in. When empty remove the tube to the sump and blow through it. Use a washing machine cleaner a couple of times to clear any build up that may be blocking the pressure pipe. Then retry, if the problem continues try a new pressure switch or bizarrely a new heating element as when these start to go leaky they can cause random faults.
