1 Question and 1 Answer
After replacing a heating element and putting our machine back together; ended up stretching the existing ring spring so much that it didn't spring back. Bought two because I thought I'd wreck the first one the same way. Can you please describe HOW you put it back in detail? I do realise that it's very tight around the gasket(rubber seal) since it needs to be, but every time I stretched it half way around and hooked it over the top, the bottom AND seal sprung out so was back to square flipping one!!! I agree it's very frustrating after a good hour alone attempting it so, am wondering if there is a trick to it please you would share the detail? Thanks in advance for some friendly advice from one who has already conquered the beast. Did you end up stretching the spring of bending the wire everso slightly?

Chris at eSpares says...
This is shown in the video now attached. However I start by fitting the loop at the start of the spring and loop the wire into the seal gap for 3/4 of the seal until tight. then inch by inch pull the last quarter on until you reach the spring and pop that in place. Practice with a stretched old band first and do not try and stretch to much at one time. Good luck.
