We do not have information on this but looking at the seal profile it suggests it is fitted into a channel around the cavity. We think you should be able to just pull the old seal out and lubricate the new seal with liquid soap and push into the gap with the help of an old credit card. If this does not work you may have to loosen or remove the surround from the cavity.

our model no is 058585102 and the seal does not go over the chrome bar at the top of the door surround letting hot oven air out is this meant to be like this ? or will a new seal completely surround the aperture to the door??
- Peter is right the 058585102 has a gap at the top about 4 inches across in the middle. I need to replace the seal on such an oven and wondered if it was actually missing from the top middle bit but after reading Peters above I think not. Just to clarify the Stoves 058585102 EFA600H has a four sided seal. Full left and right and bottom. The top also has the seal but in the middle top there is a chrome bar with no seal aperture its about 4 inches long. Hot air does escape when the oven is on. Cant remember whether this is right or not.

Hi peter, this seal is roughly 2m long. It's three sided - it's designed to fit round the top and the two sides of the oven. It shouldn't be fitted round the bottom rather than the top; as you know heat rises so will escape if the top isn't sealed.
Is it easy to fit?

Yes door seals are very simple to fit, you just have to press them into place and at most clip them in the corners.
I have a stoves 720 model 444445109 will this seal fit top and bottom oven? and how easy is it to fit? As I cannot find a video clip showing me how to replace a stoves oven seal other makes but not mine so before I start to think I can do it, can I do it? 1 Answer

We have the Stoves 720EF 444445124 Double oven, is this long enough to replace both seals?

We have no information on fitting this seal but looking at its cross section it appears to have an arrow head shape on one side. This suggests the arrow head will push into a narrow slit around the cavity and then expand to hold in place. Firmly pull the seal out of the gap before pushing the new seal in. If it is difficult to refit lubricate the seal with a damp cloth and a little washing up liquid on the 'arrow head'.
I have read previous questions and answers but am still none the wiser. Could someone please post simple instructions as to how the seal should be fitted? Surely it is supposed to prevent any heat loss at all so should cover the metal plate at the top?

Hi The seal on our oven in our new house is broken (no manuel) and it also has a metal bit at the top so the seal doesn't go all the way around, should there be a seal all the way around? Lots of heat is escaping! The seal is a push fitting into a grove, no clips, do you have a replacement for it please. I've taken pics if that helps let me know Many thanks Hayley

Unfortunately we are unable to provide the dimensions of this part. The parts listed on our website are all model and serial number dependant (apart from universal parts). In order for us to locate the correct spares for your appliance we would need the model information requested. I see in your earlier answer that the seal is to be fitted to the top and the sides. My Diplomat has been untouched since new and the seal fits to the sides and bottom where there is provision for it. Part of it goes around the top but there is a chrome piece top centre top that has no seal around it. Are you certain that the whole of the top should be sealed as there does not appear to be any provsion on the top centre for a seal?

Hi Ken, I've not seen a three-sided seal fit at the bottom before, but I can only recommend fitting the new seal in exactly the way the old one was fitted!
