Product Q&A

Ask a Question

This hood model uses DKF13 filter from Miele for replacement. However,I am planning to replace the carbon filters with this one and cut into the same size as the old one and wrap it with the paper grease filter. Would this work?

This may work but we would have to advise you that this could lead to possible damage of the cooker hood.

Answer this question

I have just discovered that our cooker hood charcoal filter was never fitted by the expensive kitchen suppliers approx 6 years ago. There is a space where I now realise it should have been, and another supplier has priced the item at £58.99. Is there a cheaper option please? there is no support structure for a filter to sit in, though there are lugs to fit into something Many thanks

If your cooker hood vents to the outside and does not recirculate the air it is not necessary to filter the air and filtering will reduce its performance.

Answer this question

the order form that came with the oven hood recommended an active carbon hood filter

You only need a carbon filter if you are recirculating the steam and old air around the kitchen. If it is vented these are not required.

Answer this question

I have what appears to be an unbranded cooker hood number CDA-MX6-1SS no 0510. It has been installed for 6 or 7 years and I have been told that the filters need changing. What exactly do I need to replace? Is it the round bits on the end of the motor or the square bits directly above the hob? Is there anything else that would need replacing on it while I am sorting it out? Many thanks

If the air is recirculated into the kitchen replace the round carbon filters. If it vents out you can remove these. The metal grease filters can be cleaned with a degreasing agent and reused.

Hi knoxville, if there's both types of filter in your hood currently, then you'll need them both. If not, you won't need both a grease and a carbon. The grease filters main job is to remove grease, and the carbon filters main job is to filter odours.

No, ES1029647 is a part in it's own right. These universal filters are replacements for cooker hood filters which use a thin carbon filter that sits on top of a grease filter.

Answer this question

Unfortunately we cannot get the model specific filters for your appliance. This is possibly due to the age of your appliance as it was recently purchased.

You will have to purchase a universal product such as this one, as we don't stock genuine parts for the model number you have provided.
