Lawnmower Impeller Fan

If you've hit a rock and chipped the impeller fan (sits above the main rotary blade) on your lawnmower, it could be affecting how your device cuts the grass and will be setting it off balance.

Replacing your existing impeller fan with this genuine replacement Flymo fan, not only restores your lawnmower but also saves your money compared to forking out for a new machine. Once replaced, you can get back in control of your lawnmower and trim your grass again.

With your lawnmower back to its former state, you have breathed new life into your trusted lawnmower.

Genuine spare part for select models of Flymo lawnmowers.

I have removed the blade but cannot budge the old impeller. It looks to have a spacer(?) inside it or is it just part of the impeller. I have tried brute force but no luck. I need to remove the impeller to replace the hood which is split

  • Well done Allen many thanks, Bingo it works 12mm tap the aluminium, then a thin 65mm bit of bar/stud, and push up the hole, and get a 12mm bolt, screw into the thread made which then pushes against the bar/stud, and happy days the impeller slides of, and might be a good idea to put some ant seize grease when putting back together By jim - suffolk - 04 May 2017
  • I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS DAC,THE IMPELLER WOULD NOT BUDGE & LAST RESORT WAS TO CUT IT OFF. WITH A NEW ONE COSTING £35.(EXSPENSIVE LESSON.) WHAT LOOKS LIKE A SPACER IS A LARGE BLOCK OF ALIMINIUM WITH THE PLASTIC IMPELLER ALL MOLDED INTO ONE. THE IMPELLER IS ONLY HELD ON BECAUSE IT IS A VERY TIGHT FIT. WITH THE BLADE OFF & BOLT OUT. DRILL & TAP THE CENTER OF THE IMPELLER BLOCK.(ALUMINIUM.) SCREW A BOLT INTO THE TAPPED TREAD (USE SMALL THIN EXTENTION BARS TO FIT.) WHICH THEN PUSH,s ON THE SHAFT AND PULL,s ON THE IMPELLER. HOPE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THIS. ALAN. By ALAN - WEST KEAL.SPILSBY. LINCS. - 13 January 2017
