High Quality Compatible Universal Cooker Hood Grease & Carbon Filter Kit (cut to size)

This set contains both a grease and a charcoal filter. They are designed to be cut to size, and it is recommended that filters are changed regularly in your cooker hood - to avoid excessive build ups that can adversely affect the performance of the cooker hood.

Once the filters have reached saturation, they will need to be replaced - as at this point they will not provide the function that they are there for.

Fitting Advice:

  • Wear disposable during this process, as the replacement of filters can sometimes not be clean
  • 1) Remove the grid on the cooker hood
  • 2) Cut your new grease filter to size (with the black stripes facing in)
  • 3) Cut your charcoal filter to size - then place it on the inside of the grease filter
  • 4) Put the cooker hood grid back into its place

Specification:

  • Both filters are cut to size
  • Includes 1 x grease filter (57 x 47cm)
  • Includes 1 x charcoal filter (57 x 47cm)

Please ensure the sizes of the filters contained in this kit will fit your cooker hood.

We believe if your cooker hood is venting outside you do not require the carbon filter just the grease filter.

Answer this question

It is fitted and working and recycles the air back into the kitchen as we do not have it extracting to the outside. Now, I am not sure if it is blowing correctly. The only filter is a mesh filter it came with - I don't know if I need a different kind of filter added to it e.g. a carbon or grease filter. I don't understand the carbon and grease filter differences. There is a plastic catch inside the lid which has 2 positions: one position blows the air more strongly back down towards the cooker while the other position blows less powerfully but it is not obvious where it is blowing to. I am not sure what is happening and I don't have instructions to show the purpose of the different positions of the catch or even if they make a difference. There is no obvious updraught so I cannot be sure it is functioning as it should though I do not believe it is broken. What can I do? Also, should I fit a carbon filter to it or is the original mesh filter packed with it sufficient? My wife simply says she does not think it is doing what it should do.

Recirculation cooker hoods draw air into the appliance through the filters to neutralise odours and remove grease particles. The cleaned air is then returned into the kitchen, the carbon filter removes odour and the grease filter absorbs grease particles. Both filters if fitted need to be replaced regularly.

This is suitable for cooker hoods that use replaceable 'filter sheets' up to 57cm x 47 cm's.

We think the grease filters should be suitable but the carbon filters in your machine are fitted into a drop in frame and therefore can not be replaced for this type as there is no way to fit them in place ensuring air only passes through it.
