The hose on my SC500C is too hot to hold. Even wrapping a towel around the hose is no help. Any help would be appreciated or thoughts on what could be the problem and how to fix it. Thanks.
- I had the same problem, then I noticed one of the tiny O rubber rings were missing on the attachment, once I ordered a new one it worked like a treat! sure this is the problem

Hoses on most if not all steam cleaners can get extremely hot and burn sensitive skin, you could try adding either a length of garden hose or pipe insulation to reduce the risk of burns or just try and ensure you do not come in contact with bare skin.
My SC5.800C steam cleaner has steam coming from the boiler cap. Not lost pressure through utensils. It looks as though the washer on boiler cap outlet is worn. 1 Answer

Spilt fill water around the cap may steam as it boils away. If it is leaking from around the cap it can be a faulty cap/seal or damage to the tank at the fill pipe.
