High Quality Replacement Tumble Dryer Thermostat Kit

If your dryer is blowing cold air then this thermostat kit could save you hundreds of pounds on a new tumble dryer. We get consistent customer feedback on how easy this tumble dryer thermostat kit is to fit so you can feel confident that this is a repair that you can do yourself.

When you order this kit you'll get 2 tumble dryer thermostats.

This is a replacement spare part for select Ariston, Creda, Hotpoint, Indesit and Proline dryers. Prior to ordering, please check the list of appliances to ensure this is the right part for you.

To prevent failure of your tumble dryer thermostats please use the following guidelines:

  1. The disc of the stat must not be touched.
  2. Do not terminate the dryer cycle early. Your dryer needs the last 10 minutes of the cool down cycle to occur in order to clear residue heat in the dryer airflow.
  3. Blocked airflow will cause the thermostats to fail. Make sure you're not overloading your dryer and regularly clean your lint filters after every load and empty the condenser (if you have one) as recommended by the manufacturer.
  4. If your front duct thermostat isn't working it will cause unnecessary stress on this part causing failure.

Important Information:

  • Please Note: Previous kits containing a black thermistor now supersede this kit which does not include this thermistor and in these instances the original thermistor is to be used.

Compatible spare part for select Ariston, Creda, Hotpoint, Indesit and Proline dryers.

Before ordering please ensure to check that this part is compatible with your appliance and model.

i own an indesit is70c condensed tumbledryer, it has just stopped heating the air up in dryer, is this model bad for heating elements renowned for failing or is it more likely to be thermostats,?????????

  • Most likely themostat or cutout.Check if fluff filter has been cleaned after every drying cycle if not machine will cut in/out until failure of the themostat/cut out occurs. Easier & cheaper to start by changing the thermostat kit. See post "Dryer runs but fails to heat" By Timsim - Folkestone Kent - 25 January 2010

Hi Budgies20, this model isn't notorious for any particularly dodgy parts - it will be just general wear and tear or plain bad luck that's caused this problem. Check this page out for help: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/tumble-dryers/a/9/117/common-tumble-dryer-faults.html

These thermostats do not have a reset button and should be replaced if failed.

Tumble dryers may be affected by extreme cold but that may not explain why your dryer is not working, for more information see our video: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/9/2050/how-to-diagnose-tumble-drier-drying-and-heating-problems

In the second image the thermostat on the left (grey spot?) is a safety cut out and will 'trip' if the heat exceeds the safe limit. The yellow spot is a 'cycling' thermostat that repeatedly cuts in and out to control the heater temperature during drying.
