Oven/Grill Thermocouple - 1300mm
Gas powered cookers & hobs are often fitted with a safety feature called a thermocouple. It's important to keep this component in full working order as it measures heat, allowing it to tell when the pilot flame has gone out, as an extinguished pilot is a hazard.
Genuine spare part for select models of Indesit, Hotpoint and Ariston cookers.

The problem is likely to be the thermocouple.

eSpares sells a wide range of products to both consumers & trade customers. Unfortunately, due to the nature of your enquiry, we cannot advise on repairs of this type. We recommend that only people registered with the Gas Safe Register make this type of repair. Maybe a good option for you would be to use a repair company like "Repaircare" who offer a fixed price option.

Check the oven temperature regulates correctly (can be + or - 10%) with a thermometer like Stock Number: ES462035. If the temperature is correct then you either need to preheat the oven more or change the shelf height to get the best results.
I turn on the top oven and a small flame appears at the back of oven but this flame never gets any warmer irrespective of weather the oven knob is on no.1 or no.8, unable to cook anything in top oven.

Until the thermocouple informs the control that the flame has warmed its end to the correct temperature the valve will remain set to low. It may be the pilot flame jet contaminated or a faulty thermocouple or less likely the valve itself.
