  • To separate gun pipe from main body you just need to press the trigger as if you was spraying, then either at the same time or just after, you just pull back the connection and it will release from main body.. think it's a safety mechanism,, just not explained in manual book. By Pw - Leicester - 05 April 2020
  • This is almost impossible to do most of the time as the button is badly designed and in a difficult place to access while trying to pull out the gun. Pushing in the button does not automatically release the gun which has to be twisted out. By Maria - NI - 11 October 2019

Sounds like a connection problem, depending on your model it may have 2 types of connection, one is a push fit release and the other a screw type. Watch our Karcher videos for more help.

The Karcher K5 may have 2 types of connection, one is a push fit release and the other a screw type. This hose & hand gun will fit both, I would recommend watching the video located on the part for more information.

Original Kärchers has a stiff plastic hose which is stubborn to work with. As a spare part an easier to work with rubber hose is available (for instance 4.440-872.0). Which type is included in this package?

We believe this is a heavier synthetic hose that is less likely to fold and crease than the one provided on a K2 pressure washer.

Finding it very difficult to screw adapter on to my machine. Can't seem to get it on straight and can't get adapter to push down in order to release hose quickly! Any ideas anyone?

If you have cross threaded the adapter when fitting take it off and put the washer on its back before retrying to fit it. If you cannot get it fitted correctly you may need to replace the outlet elbow as shown in our video: Replacing the inlet and outlet connectors on a Karcher pressure washer • www.espares.co.uk/advice/8/1166
