I had to pour hot water over them and run another cycle. How can I get the crystals to dissolve in the cycle? I used a quick wash but at 60 degrees.
- Hi blueangel, Sorry for the late reply, just haven't been on espares for a while now :-) Anything above 55 degrees should be fine but don't use a quick cycle. The crystal don't dissolve in the drawer. They are rinsed from the drawer during the wash cycle. The crystals will get drawn from the drawer into the drum during the rinse & wash cycle gradually and dissolve slowly in the drum so they can clean the components through the full wash cycle i.e. drum, heater element, drain pump, pipes, etc. That way all parts in contact with detergent will be cleaned as the water leaves the washing machine also. If the crystals still remain in the drawer dispenser after the full wash cycle has completed this could indicate an issue with the machine not pushing enough water through the drawer possibly - do you find the same happening to detergent also during normal washing ? that it remains partially in the drawer after wash cycles ? You could also just add the sachet to the drum instead as well. This should do a resonably good job as well. But when sachet is placed in the drawer the cycle will take the crystals gradually through the rinse cycle for a more thorough clean, rather than taking the whole lot and dissolving them in the drum quickly and all at once. my dishes have started to have a powdery covering on all of a sudden and the element also has a coating. I have rinsed the machine out 3 times with vinegar and topped up the salt and rinse aid. It seemed clean but as soon as I put dishes back in they are powdery again. What can I do?. I don't think it's the detergent because I have always used the same
- The use of vinegar in rubber pipes could damage the pipes internaly and maybe cause the problems you are getting. I recommend you try Universal Limescale & Detergent Remover follow this products directions of use, and use correct dishwasher salt. After treatment use a quality dish washer cleaner tablet next time you use your dishwasher.

Hi meg, it sounds like there could be some build up in the detergent drawer or hose. I'd advise running a wash with only a sachet of this limescale and detergent remover - it's worth doing one every month after that too to keep build up down.

Have used the product once on a 2-3 year old washing machine that didn't smell to bad. After one use my washing machine drum smells awful. Is this normal and will it go after more use of the product or is something amiss?
- My machine smelt really bad before I used this. What I did was use 2 first of all and then I'm going to use 1 a month to keep it from smelling again.

Best option would be to check with your manufacturer as this product has only been designed for dishwashers and washing machines.
